Good evening, I have recently started looking into a few stamps I have been gifted. It’s quite addictive isn’t it…. trying to find all the information out them, history behind, errors, plate numbers, etc. Little overwhelming but stumbled across this friendly community who I thought might be willing to help a new face I suspect it will be a slow process for me as I’m learning about them, starting to organise them, and then decide what to do with them. I will try to get a few more pictures on here soon. The first I am focusing on are the 1935 silver jubilee omnibus set which appear to be mint, few hinged but all complete bar the Egypt 1p. I have also been a bit distracted by 5 overprints, 3 of which say “Mafeking besieged” and “V.R. Special Post” which I cannot find much information on. If anyone has a special interest and can add information I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for those that take time to read and respond to these newbie posts.

OMG - what a fabulous gift you have received! The pages look very nice, too. The best part to me is that you are continuing the collection - that would make any collector so very happy to see when giving away their stamps. Well done, you!

I suspect these are not of any value as so many of them - but I think there are 3 of the type 1 diadem with St Edwards crown watermark and the rest are type 2 with multiple crowns watermark. Is there anything else I need to check for?
