Not many will have heard of Charlie, he only made one post here, his introduction.
But he was one of the best. Thoughtful, knowledgeable, funny and kind and he was all of those so often over the years I have known him online.
One of the first collectors I got to know on the old MSN Stamp groups and later Yahoo, he helped me enormously with my Flag collection, not least by sending me nearly all the USA new issues and used as well....including the varieties ! I would send him Machins to sort and flyspeck and this went on for many years.
He passed away yesterday after a long illness and I was informed by his daughter earlier today. I will miss him as will many in the Philatelic world.
