I have a USA collection that I am trying to get a value on.
The stamps from 1939-1966 are Unused but the collector has removed the gum from the stamps and hinged them onto a homemade album pages. I'm not sure how complete it is but most of the pages are full.
The stamps from 1967 to 1992 are mixed, roughly half are unused and the other half is used.
So how much is this worth?

Likely from zero to a collector to face value to a person with a glue stick who mails a lot of letters for a long time to come.

If they are truly unused but have no gum - they have no value as a stamp collection. However, if you can use them legally for postage you should do so.
Removing the gum of stamps from this time period make them essentially worthless. Sorry

Typically , unused but valid for postage, with gum , sell (in UK) for around half face value. it can take years for the average person to use them up and if they need glue stick I would say they are worth a lot less than half . A used collection of US for that period would not attract a lot of interest as most collectors will have that period well covered.

I'm with the others. Zero to a collector and illegal postage to anyone who wants to risk it. Pity. Londonbus1

Londonbus1 Actually as long as the stamps have never been used on mailings, they are still valid postage here in the USA. Perhaps you are thinking of rules for a different postal system? A collection like that would be a tough sell. I’d put it on EBay for a $10 start and let the buyers decide - unless there are many high face value items. You could pull any hi values to sell at a percentage of face and then the rest as a collection remainder with that low start. Shipping might be a turnoff though. Are you in an active stamp club? Good luck, Jim.

Thanks for the feedback.
I think I'll take them to a Stamp Club meeting and sell them for 5c and 10c each. Maybe the thematic and worldwide collectors will take them. There's some Airmail stamps there and alot of face value.
I don't have any need for them so someone should use them.
