Howdy all,
I'm really happy to join this Forum. Just a quick intro about myself and my collecting interests. I'm originally from Texas but really have a multi-national background: Brazil, Italy, Portugal and Lebanon. Needless to say, I mostly collect stamps from those countries and any colonies, plus the United States. However, I do also collect Vatican City and German Empire/Third Reich. Thematically, I collect Aviation and Airmail (I'm an pilot) and Princess Diana (I guess I always liked her). Additionally, I have an increasing collection of Flight Covers and Antarctic Covers. I started collecting when I was 15 years old and while I was living in Brazil, and paused for a few years during my late 20's, early 30's (I'm 47). As a teenager, stamps were one way for me to learn and daydream about far away places. I partially credit philately with getting me into flying, and thus to get to travel the world. I really hope to see more youth joining the hobby. I'm a member of the American Philatelic Society, American Air Mail Society and the Brazilian Philatelic Federation (FEBRAF).
