I started collecting stamps again around 30 years ago. I like to specialise in specific countries.
These include Ceylon, Nigeria and more recently France. I have found this Forum a great help
in putting my collections together and look forward to taking part.

Welcome, I have a completely none philatelic story regarding the Isle of Wight. When travelling in the Caribbean as a youth I met a schooner captain. He wanted me to steer a three masted schooner down the coast of St. Lucia as he was busy with other clients. He asked me if I knew my port from starboard, and I said no. His name was Paddy Shrimpton, (PS), port starboard, never forgot. He was from the Isle of Wight.
