Week 19 Update (organized from most expensive to least expensive) It boggles my mind, on just how you manage to do this Not surprised to see Australia, and The Brit Channel Islands cost so high. Surprised to see US at at least half of the above. After nearly 30 years of collecting stamps, had never come across "Bonaire" prior Had to Google. Well done you.

Surprised to see US at at least half of the above. After nearly 30 years of collecting stamps, had never come across "Bonaire" prior Had to Google. Well done you. It's actually not too difficult for me since I've been doing the new issue updates on Colnect for the last six years. I pretty much have a system set up. I have bookmarked about 150 different postal admin websites/facebook pages or other websites dedicated to specific countries Using the post in another forum listing stamp issuing programs for the year, I use Microsoft calendar to note when a country is issuing a new issue. Image below shows the calendar for May and an open date for Thurs 16th May which had new issues from Great Britain and Ireland For countries I do not have any stamp programs, I check new issues listed on Delcampe and ebay every 2-3 days. I set up the spreadsheet to track values at the beginning of the year, so now it is just updating each time I add a new issue for a country I probably spend around 1 hour a day on average doing new issues for Colnect, depends on number of countries issuing stamps on any give day and how much is uploaded on Delcampe and ebay. May New issue dates - almost every day has at least one country issuing something!

This is an amazing effort by the creator of this list. The sad part is some of these very expensive countries when you go look to sell a duplicate or whatever the stamp value/cost has decreased dramatically. I am, naturally, speaking of MNH. The other sad/bad part is some countries produce such a flood of stamps it is nearly impossible to keep up with them.
I appreciate this list and am thinking of printing it and bringing it to the next stamp meeting.
Awesome effort!! Thanks so much.

It brings home the understanding that buying the latest and greatest immediately after being published is not always the way to go. Wait and maybe like US Postage it becomes pretty much worthless, and people are using stamps saved from years ago as postage. Sure shows stamps are no investment grade thing to buy thinking you are investing. Oh sure, there is that rare stamp that has an error but that happens once or twice in a lifetime.
If you are collecting stamps thinking you are investing STOP now. Buy stamps to add to your collection because you have an interest in the country or the subject that is depicted on the stamp. Do it for self-education, keeping your brain active and alert, and for the sake of learning.

Week 20 Update (organized from most expensive to least expensive) BK - Booklet CS - Collector Sheet MS - Mini-Sheet PB - Prestige Booklet PS - Personalizable Stamps SS - Souvenir Sheet The first of Stamperija's clients issuing stamps for 2024 has released an avalanche of stamps, and now tops the list by a huge margin. Isle of Man is almost US$200.00 for the year, and Guernsey has now joined the century club.

Let's just not tell my wife how much I've dropped so far this year on United States stamps, shall we? She's happy to know I always have some forever stamps she can use when she wants them...no need for her to question anything else.
