The Risaralda Bird Festival is a non-profit academic event held in the department of Risaralda, Republic of Colombia, dedicated to nature lovers and birdwatchers. The Risaralda Bird Festival aims to position the department of Risaralda as an international centre for the study and observation of birds, with the objective of strengthening culture and knowledge and as a model for the conservation of biodiversity. In the department of Risaralda there are a number of factors that make it one of the best places for birdwatching, both for its strategic location with easy access and infrastructure, as well as for the more than 850 species of birds present, 25 of which are endemic to Colombia. Many of the bird species featured in this postcard are in danger of extinction, which is why the work carried out in the Department of Risaralda to protect birds is so important, and the results, such as those shown in the postcards, are published. The sheet is numbered and contains 15 stamps, 10 of which are dedicated to birds and 5 to butterflies (The estimated number of butterfly species and subspecies in Colombia is over 5,000 and there are an estimated 30,000 species of moths). The 35 x 35 mm stamps, with a face value of 5,000 Colombian pesos, are printed in polychrome with a special invisible fluorescent ink on Truwhite paper and PVA glue. This sheet of stamps incorporates Augmented Reality, a technological resource that offers users interactive experiences by combining virtual and physical dimensions, to view the contents of the tender document, please search for the 4-72 RA application, which can be downloaded to any mobile device via the App Store and Play Store.
