Today, I made my first foray of the year to my little local post office. They always serve me well. Always eager to help out a collector, instead of hurrying me along to get through the line of packages and parcels in line behind me...because there never IS a line! And they always have the new stamps I'm looking for in stock.
Whoops...not so fast. Today, I picked up the following 2024 issues: Love, Dragon Lunar New Year, Constance Baker Motley, and John Wooden. But no Saul Bellows in stock! Darn the luck! I'll have to check another branch nearby...there's a few in the area.
Then, It dawns on me: maybe I can help out some of you and you can help out me. I always buy a few more of each stamp than i need, and I eventually us the extras as postage. But what if I could trade with someone who needs them and missed out? I'm still going thru the task of adding 2022 and 2023 stamps to my Mystic album, and I'll have a number of those spare as well. There might even be some 2021's left. Can I help anyone with something they may have missed, or can they send anything my way that I could not get at the time? I'd take Canada or GB stamps in trade as well. Let me know if you're interested.
This marked my 1000th post on the forum. Huzzah! Proposing trades seems like a noble way to celebrate that milestone. Here's to the next thousand!
