So I've been going over my collection of #15 the 5-cent beaver and trying to sort them into colour varieties, tricky indeed. I've perf'ed them all and sorted them by the perf size. I was wondering if the perf size can help narrow down the possible colour varieties, or is this a case where all shades could exist in all perfs. Honestly my own examination is starting to push me towards the later case. Here's the Unitrade numbers/colour descriptions for reference. The three listed perf options for the issue are listed as 11.75, 12x11.75 and 12. 15 - vermillion c - brick red (brownish orange red), perf 11.75 ii - orange red I've omitted the imperfs, bisects, plate varieties, and paper types... I'll worry about them another day. Let me know your thoughts, opinions and arguments!
