Though I am still a collector I have been a dealer for many years in the past and my interest lies largely in the research, knowledge and history accessible through philately.
These forums are a wealth of information, knowledge and experience which I appreciate being able to access. I find myself diverted into all areas at one time or another and as such have a range of interest/specialisation including
All world pre 1900 British Commonwealth QV but up to end KGV Germany (all of it) South African states pre union Australian States specialised New Zealand specialised NZ Postal History
Certainly not limited to the above and open to new areas. For example I am currently looking at re-entries and plate varieties of the ½d Mt Cook green of NZ. Can be tedious as these are many and minor, hard on the eyes. Also getting into the fascinating world of mute cancellations of Brazil during the Dom Pedro period - though not a lot of material available in NZ.
Looking forward to what this site can offer.

Welcome aboard xacsAs a longtime customer of ACS it would be nice to know your first name and what years you were working there. ACS just had their 26th Public Auction and was well attended. I am hoping to see what others on this board have acquired soon, as the purchases arrive into our hot little hands :-) Anyway, welcome, and we trust you will have an enjoyable stay with us here. Dave

Dave Hi Dave, yes most likely dealt with a number of long time collectors. I was only with ACS from early 2000's until the passing of Warwick but went with the business when sold to David H. Have been out of the business since then. Am enjoying your many interesting and well informed posts on this site. Cheers Clayton

Hi Clayton
I remember Warwick fondly. It was a great shock to all when he passed so young. I met David H when we were both 16 - 17. David had just started at ACS at Stewart Dawson House on the corner of Queen and Wyndham Sts. I bought my 1st FFQ from ACS there for $2 when I was about 11 or 12 in 1972-73. It was a 2nd grade example, perfed 1d vermillion as I recall, long gone now!
Another persons name I recall from the Warwick Delamore period was Jann le moyne (sic). I have probably spelt his name incorrectly so apologies to him if he is reading this. Brian Rumsey worked alongside David in those days.
I fondly recall visiting their premises both in Stewart Dawsons and later at Campbell Buildings around High St too.
Happy memories
Dave

Another life! Yann (I may have it wrong too) was there before me and Brian of course was part of the trio with Warwick and David. Yes great memories of days at Campbell Building in High Street. Those old stamp stores were so full of atmosphere.

You are not talking about Bas Warwick, right? No, not Bas Warwick dorincardWe are referring to one of the former owners of Auckland City Stamps (ACS) a Mr Warwick Delamore. He passed after owning the business for just a few years. One of the previous owners, Mr David Holmes, bought the business back and has since also purchased Campbell Paterson (CP) alongside Mr Nigel Shanks. Dave
