As I was looking through Facebook Marketplace the other day I noticed how many ads are out there for discounted Forever stamps. All claiming that they are legitimate because they pass the UV test. How can anyone think that you are getting real stamps for $10-$20 for a roll of 100? And where do they think someone is getting the hundreds of rolls that they are selling?
Why isn't Facebook doing something about it? Many of the accounts were just created and have no activity or details other than the posting of the ads. You'd think a giant tech company would be able to come up with something to block the postings.
I've taken to reporting these postings as "Appears to be Counterfeit". I'll spend a few minutes when I have some down time, waiting on hold or in a line to report a few. I know I won't make a dent in the problem, but it's kind of fun to know I'm an annoyance to the sellers (assuming Facebook is deleting the ads).

Because Facebook doesn't care. They are getting paid no matter what. If the government held Facebook legally accountable for what they allowed to be advertised on their platform, it might change something, but the government isn't going to do that because they get their cut of the money too.
