Dear fellow collectors, let me shortly introduce myself. I am Petri Laitinen from Joensuu, North Karelia, Finland. I have been collecting stamps and covers every now and then since mid-1970's. My interests and studies include - Finland, Finnish local stamps (Helsinki, Tampere) and private shipping companies - Danmark, Danish West Indies (stamps and postal history) - Classic Spain, GB, Cape of Good Hope, Belgium, ... I am a member of local collectors club "Joensuun postimerkkeilijät ry" and have also active in some stamp exchibitions in Finland. What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Oh I am SO happy to welcome a collector in Finland! That is one of my favorite collections. I wish I could fly in for the Stamp Show, too. Isn’t there a big international show planned in Estonia this year, too? LOVED seeing the picture of your locals! Nice! I’ve been trying to figure out a few of the Finland local stamps and I think I have Spiro & Fournier forgeries and maybe a few genuine. How delightful to welcome a member familiar with those issues!
