It has been some time I have not posted my pages from specific Countries I am working on. Since I like this completed page (Scott N43-N58) - Issued in 1940 under German Occupation of Lorraine - These stamps of Germany 1933-36 were overprinted in black. CV was done using Scott 2021 Specialized and pages are simple Steiner model of pages. René Since my file is too big, I shall return with a proper size one

I like these colorful sheet corners of the Alsace occupation stamps. Wish I had a complete set.

I also like these cancellations. I have plenty of cancelled single stamps from the two series, but these on piece with the entire cancellation, are especially nice.

Great examples. Thanks for sharing. Your examples were from the start of WW2, here are a few examples from the end. They're on Bush Album pages. I can't remember if I got them at an AMG Collectors' Club auction or from a local dealer. I especilly like the 'de facto' occupation stamps - which really aren't occupation stamps at all. Essentially, they're Vichy stamps that were allowed, without overprint, while waiting for new stamps to be issued. Regards,

Some French occupation stamps in 1919 during their brief occupation of part of Hungary. I picked them up recently at an auction. As you can see, there are some gaps to fill. However, as these stamps were not expertized and as Scott notes that forgeries are plentiful, can anyone direct me to a resource I can use to help me learn more about the forgeries? Sometimes forgeries can be intersting in their own right. Why bother, for example, creating them for low value stamps? What are the economics and motivations? Cheers,
