CAPEX Canadian International Philatelic Exhibitions The curiosity of this sheet, in 2007 started my journey........... Sc# 1757 1978 Hi Rodney: Scott 1757 - Issued by the US post office for Capex 1978 in Toronto. They had a US post office there so you could mail items bearing US postage at the show. I was there. The "souvenir sheets" of 8 stamps were sold in panes of six. In turn, I believe that these panes were printed in press sheets of four panes (i.e. 24 souvenir sheets) but you couldn't buy a full uncut press sheet . 8*( Your souvenir sheet is from the upper left corner of the upper left pane. (souvenir sheet 1 , pane 1) (i.e. first souvenir sheet on the press sheet). This is shown by the position of the plate number. Here is a scan of pane 4 (lower right corner of the press sheet). cjoint.com/data/fCpIJ8SJtW.htm I last saw the mint souvenir sheets being offered by a dealer at about $3.10 US ($3.50 Canadian). Best Regards Blair Sc# 760 1996

François Interesting Musk Ox stamp.
My routine, starts with Has it Gum ? (If issued with Gum) If gum missing, then chemical may be the culprit. The deterioration of the red strongly suggests that. I have no evidence in my "Colour Changelings" folder of any Brown pigment reducing to steel blue. I'd keep it as a "Variety" with a red flag.
