My Weekly Battle Series I'm assuming that this is the same My Weekly, then a newspaper, that's still published today as a women's magazine by D C Thomson which is still a family owned company. These are silks on cards but refer to the paper as 'The Girls' Favourite Paper'.

Nice cards patriotic, not very “girly”, but a sign of the times I somehow don’t see them on “ tea cosies, table centres or chair backs….”
Gosh how these essential accessories have gone out of fashion nowadays, does any one use them still ?
