Hello, I'm Vi, a newbie from North Dakota, USA. I am completely new to stamp collecting (about 3 months), and am still figuring out my special interest. I have never liked history as a subject, but as I have been gathering stamps (worldwide so far), and have been enjoying the stories they tell and the puzzles they bring. I suppose I am carving out a special interest in the very old, the stamps from volitile times, from obscure countries and islands, from territories and countries that have had name changes and other interesting history, and stamps obliterated to the point it makes it difficult to identify. It's very narrow, and not very many stamps to work with, I know. I have no interest in the monetary value or filling albums and collections. Right now I'm just learning and allowing the stamps to lead. I'm going to end here, as to avoid rambling, but I'm absolutetly up for any questions anyone might have. I'm looking forward to working with all of you! Vi

Welcome. I used to live in cold ND for 40 years. Such long winters gave me a lot of stamp time. Enjoy your time here on the forum, very nice people here.

Welcome to the group! Newbies are especially welcome and bunches of us just adore beginner questions - us old timers love to dust off our philatelic know how and share / show off (lol teasing!) all that esoteric knowledge. So never hesitate to ask!

Welcome! See what American stamps relate to North Dakota. Find or design concordant postcards for those stamps. Then have fun creating some ND maxicards with them.

Of course it would show now! Before, it was just showing up as something like "sign 016" instead of the emoji. Oof. My luck with technology lately. Thanks for the reply!
