While browsing available books on kindle unlimited, I looked up the collecting genre and discovered, to my great surprise, DOZENS of books on philately! Here’s a screen shot of one page of results. If you have a subscription to kindle unlimited it’s worth a look.

That's really cool. I wonder how many of the listing are repackaging of older, public domain publications Vs original works. Amazon is full of 'self published' repackaged work in other genres.
I've been searching through the internet archive and finding a few out of print titles. And they reference other titles that I can never find. 🙂
If I get offered a free trial I will check it out for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the showing philatelia ; there are some interesting titles there: secrets, thematics and investing, all of which pique my curiosity. From the investment angle, with notable exceptions as was once shared with me, the only way to make one million with the hobby is to start off with two... Have fun and happy collecting! P.S. Enjoy the reading ;-)

So far several of the books I’ve briefly perused on Kindle Unlimited are worth reading. The Philatelic Book of Secrets has some good info on detecting regumming, reperfing and other repairs. Those are from PSE, Professional Stamp Experts, those folks who are energetically pushing numerical grading.
