I have just released V1.3.0 of ImageSleuth. ImageSleuth is a free enhanced retroReveal replacement. The most significant change is the addition of the Colour Erase and Replace tool - a further weapon in the armoury for anyone trying to identify Postmarks, cancellations, overprints etc. A brief demonstration/tutorial on using the new features can be viewed here:
ImageSleuth is cross-platform; it may be downloaded for Windows, Mac or Linux. Once installed, it does not require an internet connection to function.
Nor is it necessary to rely on the continued availability of a third-party website.
NOTE: Because I have not paid for costly software certification certificates, when downloading and installing ImageSleuth it is possible that Windows or MacOS will warn that the software is from an "unknown publisher".
I have scanned the software using half a dozen virus scanners, including Norton and Windows Defender, all have confirmed that the software is safe.

Would it work on older versions of Mac OS?
Or should I take this as my cue to finally upgrade?

greaden I am on Monterey and it works wonderfully. i haven't gone any newer as I have programs that require upgrade$ to work with newer OSX versions The color erase feature is pretty handy!

Would it work on older versions of Mac OS? Or should I take this as my cue to finally upgrade?
I use macOS 10 Catalina for development, so it should run on that and newer versions.
clivel Norton refuses the download of your latest version on my Windows 10 system René Unfortunately, this causes problems with every new release because the software is new and has not been certified. If you could please let me know what version of Norton you have, and the message that you are receiving, I can submit the application to Norton for "whitelisting". Thanks, Clive |
