Essentially an extension of New South Wales some might say as the old postmarks might suggest:
Anyway, so as to avoid derailing the NSW stamps thread, here's a thread for all our ongoing discussions about Lord Howe Islands stamps, covers, booklets e.t.c.
Some years ago, I bought the special collector's pack thingy – it was one of those exclusive Australia Post Impressions products – which contained some interesting miniature sheets from the 2021 Volcanic Past issues. Each of them is individually numbered and limited to only 150 issued globally.
I bought the pack, sold off the other miniature sheets for a premium and effectively kept the Lord Howe Island sheetlet for free which looks great because it takes up almost the full album page. You can imagine how much better it stands out on a black page than this stock photo!
Now, if only I'd bought a second of these sheetlets and mailed it FROM Lord Howe Island on a parcel to myself!
