Hello, My name is Francois Lafrance, born and still living in Montreal, Quebec. I have been collecting since the age of 12. Will be 83 this coming Sunday.
I have been a member of the American Philatelic Society since 1961 (Life Member). Also member of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada.
My collecting interests were Canada and western European countries stamps at the beginning.
Since the turn of the century, my interest has turned to postal history, pretty much all countries.
I am winding down, selling stamps on various platforms. Having studied classical Greek in college has been useful in learning to read the rest of the cyrillic alphabet, Bulgarian, Serbian, Russian. etc... although I only understand the words that phonetically sound like French, English, etc... This is very helpful to me when studying the postal history of those countries.
I look forward to being more active on this board. One never stops learning something new. Cordially. Francois
