That's it for me, I shanked my 5 wood drive on the 18th, and it went into the lake.
I am going to take a "Mulligan" and search for "The landing of Magellan" (That I don't have) on line, for my records.
I don't see the Penny Black ?

thanks Hugh - here then are a couple of the Sir Anthony Eden 'Anglo-Egyptian Treaty labels (the set comprises 3 stamps - 5, 15 and 20 mills) - from 1936, and used I'm afraid and not mint as per your page of stamps. Sincere apologies rod222 - all I saw when turning the machine on was that Hugh was asking for images of the last five - VERY annoyingly the TSF system won't let me delete a post - for whatever reason - so despite the fact you have already added these Anthony Eden - Egypt stamps, I can't seem to delete my superfluous contribution.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Here are the my copies of the Cuba stamp depicted which is Scott 284 and the Scott 288 which is the number quoted. Both my examples are used. The set was issued in 1928 for the 6th Pan American Conference. The Sc284 depicts Tomas Estrada Palma and the Sc288 shows the Presidential Palace.

I am going to take a "Mulligan" and search for "The landing of Magellan" (That I don't have) on line, for my records. I don't see the Penny Black ? A well deserved mulligan ... I don't have the orginal Magellan's Landing stamp either, BUT I do have the 'occupation' version. So, let's close this game off with that. The original stamp was issued by the Philippines on February 15, 1933. 16c - Dark Blue. Sc. 389 Then, on November 11, 1935 it was overprinted with a black "COMMONWEALTH" as it inched closer to independance - Sc. 417. (Not to be pedantic, it was overprinted again shortly after with a slightly different version of the "COMMONWEALTH" overprint) Here is mine ... Sc. N3 - Overprinted in 1942 with Black bars over UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and COMMONWEALTH - the first generation of Japanese Occupation stamps on the islands. And, with that, the game is over ... well played everyone!! Thanks to all those who participated and shared one or more of their treasures. It was interesting to see what stamps a large dealer thought were interesting back in the late thirties. PS -- rod222 asked about the Penny Black. stanley64 posted, in his response, a link to an earlier post with his collection of them.

The game is over but I did a quick photo of the Philippines stamp along with others from the set in my collection. I enjoyed the game Hugh.
