Well this is humorous - a first day Beer coaster / postcard from Stratford, England. Celebrates the first day for the Shakespeare “quartercentenary” (400 year since birth) issue of 1964. It showed up in a recent Bermuda FDC collection. It’s printed on that thick, absorbent coaster cardboard. Cheers!

as you know Terri, our boy is held in v. high regard in the 'old country', though have to say I didn't know that he'd written words about whiskey - I have a feeling that White Horse is a blend, rather than a single malt. If you'd like the other four stamps to make up the set, let me know and will mail to you gratis.

Tell ya what, paul1, thanks a bunch but I actually don’t collect GB - as I mentioned this one arrived with a Bermuda lot which I do collect. So how about we each have a small nip of whisky 🥃 (later on for me - makes me sleepy) and raise our glasses to say “Here’s to Stamp friends”. LoL - I don’t have any of the fancy stuff and I don’t know very much about whisky, but I like the taste of this brand so this bottle is always on the counter if I have an “Irish coffee emergency” haha. Cheers! Sláinte!
