Hi to everyone in The Stamp Forum. I collected stamps as a child (I even belonged to a local coin and stamp club in Thornhill, Ontario where I grew up) and have returned to it now that I am retired. My family kept my old stamp collection, which included a Stanley Gibbon album of Canada and many colourful eastern European stamps that had caught my 8-12 year old fancy through approvals. In my early teens, my family having moved to New Zealand, I added some FCDs from there to this rather eclectic collection. Now back in Canada (Ottawa) I've rediscovered this childhood hobby, and all the pleasure it brings. I'm focusing on some thematics (crows, moths, COVID-19) and have joined the American Topical Association. More ambitiously I am putting together a world wide collection (one/two pages for every country, dead or alive) organized simply around stamps that take my fancy and designing my own pages for them. I figure this will happily keep me busy until the moment when I have to decide either to go meekly into that good night or rage against the dying of the light!

Welcome to the forum canuck55. I didn't know about the American Topical Association until you mentioned it. Will definitely look into that. Your last sentence cracked me up.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I have the same ambition as you, have a couple of stamps of each country, dead or alive. I am working slowly towards that goal but have collected a lot of duplicates over the years ;-) it is always fun to find a stamp of a country you don't have yet.
