New Member from Ashburn, Virginia U.S.A.

Hello Everyone, to the admin and moderators on here thank you for allowing me to join TSF.  My name is Bradley Brideau (aka Bobcat126) I am 54 years old and live in Ashburn Virginia.  I have been collecting stamps since I was 10 or 11 years old I think, although I took a long break from collecting for many years due to detours and other life endeavors I chose.  I am a restless and relentless collector which has gotten me into some trouble more than once with the woman at home....Oh well. 


I collect just about anything stamp related including postcards and stamp related ephemera, but my favorite things to collect by far are:  postally used covers (both vintage and modern),  airmail or flight covers,  silk cachet covers,  revenue stamps (including stamped documents),  match and medicine stamps,  stamp souvenir sheets/mini sheets,  plate number coil stamps,  pre-cancel stamps,  overprints and surcharged stamps,  odd or unusual stamps,  All USA and Foreign (mint or used) stamp sets,  plate blocks,  steel engravings/souvenir cards,  proofs, philatelic books and learning material, and cinderella's.   I know this is a long list but I am in love with reading and learning about postage stamps.  

I have been reading a lot of posts on here - and in other chat room forums as well - so I am learning a lot.  Please be patient with me if I post something (in ignorance) that I may not be familiar with,... I am a slow thinker but I desperately want to learn and understand my stamp collection better, as well as learn from the experts or more knowledgeable people on here.    Again, thank you for allowing me to become a member here and I look forward to meeting you all and sharing parts of my collection.
