Most of the thefts were checks that were washed and reused.

Hi Terri - reminded me of the Di Caprio film 'Catch Me If You Can' - which was portrayed as a humorous escapade of a 'paper hanger' - unlike the details you mention. I'm surprised that people your side of the pond use cheques to that extent - don't think I've written one for a year or more. Anyway glad they were caught - but regret criminality never sleeps.
