We have a thread for coins on stamps and one for banks and banking, but not one more specifically dedicated to banknotes on stamps, which I felt was a rather inopportune omission. Where else would one be able to post this very nice 1985 set from Finland ?  I'll populate this thread some more in the coming days, but other member's contributions are of course most welcome and eagerly awaited! |

A huge1976 80 centavos Brazilian stamp, Sc. 1484, depicting an inflation-era banknote for 30,000 reis. I find banknote stamps attractive and if I were younger and had fewer collections to maintain, I would collect these as a topical.

Of course, the Pacific Franc is also legal tender in French Polynesia, for which we have both a souvenir sheet and the set of four individual stamps:   This time, it is the 500 and 5000 Francs banknotes for which we see the reverse side. |
