Looking for Info on WW Postal Stationery & Cut-Squares

I do not specially collect postal stationery or cut squares, but I do have some. You may find some mention in specialized catalogues, but often these seem to get left out and you are left with seeking a catalogue which specializes in 'postal stationery'.

a cut square will have higher value if it has full margins and possibly more with a full obliteration, and there's the prize (IMHO) of having the complete envelope, card or wrapper.

Perhaps someone will know of something broader is scope. I do see on catalogue for postal stationery of Canada and Newfoundland on e-Bay for $7.95 BIN, says it's new, but I note is also listed as Vitage 1974 so if may be a print-on-demand. These are affordable, but typically are B/W, so any color images/plates are rendered less helpful.

For the collector of U.S. postal stationery, the Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps & Covers provides values for both entires and cut squares of stamped envelopes and wrappers (U, most UC, UO and W). Postal cards (UX, UY, UXC and UZ) are only valued as entires.

Your first picture shows the dj of Huggins & Baker - the 2007 publication, of which there were only 2000 printed - and currently I'm unable to find a copy for sale ......... however, can say that if a person enrols with the British Philatelic Society, you can download the entire book for free ........ a lot cheaper than buying the book!              As mentioned, I've ordered the 1970 edition of what is basically the same book - I'm old fashioned in the sense that I prefer to own a book rather than have the information digitally.            Agree, that if this was a global exercise then it would mean laying out a vast amount of greenbacks to acquire all the possible publications covering 'cut squares' - in fact I doubt that I would go beyond the boundaries of Europe.
Appreciate your words of caution as to the vastness of this subject, and it's unlikely that I will embrace the whole gamut - it's perhaps more a case that unwittingly I've acquired a fair few over the past few years and would like to understand something about them - which means having at least one or two books.
Perhaps we are a tad unkind toward these things - I think they look attractive, are just as interesting as any stamp of equal age, though agree maybe the design ethos isn't quite up to that of a 'real' stamp.         Perhaps they just get a bad press
Thanks again for your help, and will see how I get on in the coming months - have to say I try not to be an investor in stamps, with v. neat rows of mint examples - rather I have a feeling more for the history both of the stamp and what lay behind the occasion, so for me used stamps are mostly all that I need, though having said that I do have what seems like hordes of mint stamps .

Paul, you may wish to seek out  "Great Britain Postal Stationery"  Brightmore  (ebay?)

It is a Postal stationery catalogue 101, VERY BASIC
but can get you started, before being intimidated by Huggins

I picked mine up for $1   to  $5 region

Hi Paul,
(Guessing) that Scott have produced Album Pages, for United States CUT SQUARES  (They are not marked )

Mine would go to around 50 pages, which would indicate the extent of numbers of  squares.
Not aware if they are still available.
They are using Amos catalogue numbers in brackets.
