I am delighted to be here. I collected, with parents, as a child. I even came runner up in a UK Stamp Bug competition.
I returned to stamps after thirty (odd) years absence in early 2023. It has taken over a year to narrow down some sense of what I want to collect in the immediate future. At the moment, this is GB 1840-1970. I am lucky also to have accumulated a couple of World and Commonwealth collections over the past eighteen months.
I am not taking things too seriously. My collecting and the accompanying learning is simply a great way to relax and take pleasure in a wonderful hobby. Plus, I get to talk stamps with family young and old, though I'm not sure they were that interested in yesterday's first plating of a Penny Black!
