My name is Sean and I have been a collector since the early 1970s (with plenty of breaks for college, etc). I have collected just about everything at one time or another as my interests have changed. I've tried my hand at plating British line engraved stamps on one end of the spectrum and I collect modern first day covers at the other. I'm interested in auxiliary markings on covers; I've got some fakes and forgeries; and who doesn't love errors, freaks, and oddities? Countrywide, I gravitate toward U.S., Great Britain, Canada, and Germany. But I really don't limit myself, and have many specialized collections going on at any given time.
I belong to the APS, the AFDCS, the Collectors Club, the Germany Philatelic Society, and the Royal Philatelic Society of London.
I look forward to the discussions here!

Welcome from the UK, Sean seandail! I had the opportunity to visit Raleigh once many years ago - a lovely part of the country.

Welcome, Sean! I lived in Danville, VA, for three years before moving to central VA (soon to be in Roanoke, VA). I've always enjoyed my visits to Raleigh! I think you will find TSF a place with good energy and generous spirits.

Welcome from Portugal, Sean
Good memories of Raleigh, a very beautiful city, where I had the opportunity to spend a few weeks when I worked for a Portuguese tobacco company 30 years ago. More recently, about ten years ago I discovered that an old friend of mine from Angola lives and works in Raleigh.
Talking about stamps, my focus is Portugal and Angola If this is of any interest to you, let me know
Enjoy TSF to go ahead with your collection Cheers
