Hello TSF Members, my name is Larry and I was born and continue to live in Brooklyn, New York. I found an early interest in stamp collecting probably due to stamp collecting campaigns in grammar school where any used stamps were collected, and handed in to the teacher so the school could process the sale of these stamps to support various community endeavors. My first worldwide stamp album was by H.E. Harris and my interest at that time was to fill in the spaces with stamps sold in small packets at F.W. Woolworth's and the larger quantities offered through the mail in grab bag parcels. The stamps were multi-national and very educational depending on their subject matter. I feel privileged to have been able to experience Nassau Street in lower Manhattan, once the epicenter for stamp dealers in the United States while in high school. While I was still a teenager, I was introduced to a veteran collector Neil McCann, whose primary collecting interest was the Vatican City. He developed my interest in all things relating to Vatican philately, including the Papal States. My collection in this area has become quite extensive and continues to grow almost weekly. My other significant collecting interest is US stamps, which have found a home in a Minkus All American Album that I purchased at the Minkus stamp counter at the Gimbels Herald Square store in New York. Having not stating my age, with the references above many a seasoned collector can probably guess that I qualify as a senior citizen. But I can still walk and talk and collect!
Looking forward to connecting with the Forum, Larry

Welcom, Larry. It's a pleasure to have a fellow stamp enthusiast join the Forum. I have a few Vatican stamps myself, which I bought during a visit to Vatican city several years ago.
