What I collect: ROC China, Washington/Franklins, French & Italian colonies, only mint

Hi all, I'm happy to be back after 12 years or so. As before I REALLY like the knowledge of members - my questions & requests to ID stamps are answered very quickly. That being said... I have more ID questions that will post soon. I used to be a British colonies nut but switched to French colonies, Italian colonies, Washington/Franklins (especially line pairs), and China ROC pre-1949. I love the Chinese puzzles but they can be SOOO annoying (!) I only look for mint and MNH stamps, but have many used Chinese stamps until I can replace them.
I recently retired from 40 years of architecture, structural engineering, and construction. Built my collection originally by going to the post office (Redwood City, CA) every day after school with my buddy Jim. We'd go through the waste bins & get the stamps from the people with PO boxes. Now 75 and back at it!

What I collect: My focus is on Wild Mammals on maximum cards. Occasionally, I get or create maximum cards with other animals, or any other topic.
