I have read several posts that mention "used mounts". If mounts such as Showgard are being reused, how does one get them off the album page without damaging the page?

Well most of the time you cannot avoid damage to the paper surface of the page ! Even older pages where the adhesive has become tired , there will be a stain where the mount was . My rescued mounts have come from pages or albums I have destined for destruction

I use Elmer's Craft Bond to attach mounts to pages rather than the mount's adhesive. It offers the advantage of easy to reposition and can be removed and reused without damage to pages in most cases. The Elmer's Craft bond has more like a PostIt Note type adhesive.

I think the phrase "used mounts" would mean that the package has been opened and some of the mounts used. In other words, a package that had 15 strips when brand new might now only have 12.
