MERPEX will just be a display in the Pennsauken Public Library this year. There was not enough interest to justify hiring judges.
Oct. 5-12, 2024 – Merpex 2024 at the Pennsauken Free Public Library, 5605 N Crescent Blv (130 south). It is about 20 minutes from Philadelphia.
It will close with this event:
Mr. Russell Eggert’s talk (of Dutch Country Auctions) on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m. “Selling your Stamps”. We will have hoagie and pizza for refreshments. Please plan to come early to view the exhibits and vote for your favorite. Bring your family.
I am contributing a one-frame exhibit: "Morocco before the Protectorate: a Fragmented Postal System", where I show off my covers from local posts and from the Sultan's postal system between 1891 and 1914.
Not being a judged event, I can be modest about some real rarities, and just get to the point that early Morocco is a fascinating but little-known collecting area.
