I have noticed the cancellation marks on the new USA SA stamps are "stippled" in nature (they are not solid lines of ink but rather marks made of small dots. why is this? ken

I apologize for my original question about cancellations. This is what happens when you have a newbe on board.
I investigated more and went back to the stamps that promoted my question and found that many had stippling in the cancellations. However, on locating several stamps still on paper from the same batch of stamps , I discovered the stipulations I mentioned were also on the cancellations which extended on to the paper.
Therefore , the stipulations were not related to the stamps or the paper but were a product of the cancellations themselves.
