Thank you for allowing me membership. I am 81 years young, live alone in Scranton PA and have been collecting for about 40 years ( most enjoyable) My main interest in collecting is Israel tabs. The thinking behind. collecting Israel was being their becoming a country in 1948 I might be able to collect ever stamp issued, well I am still collecting. Also collect first day covers and various historial covers of interest, President Inaugurals, local precancels and perfins to round out my philatelic interests. I am a member of the APS, Perfins Club, Machins Collectors Club (forgot to mention), Wyoming Valley Stamp Club, Scranton Stamp Club,US Specialist, Precancel Stamp Society, and the Society Israel Philatelist. If I find the time I'll look for Post cards of local interest and cards featuring the coal mining which Scranton is known for. Thank you

Welcome to the forum Arnie. Living in Scranton, I imagine you are familiar with the current Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad (RBMN) along with the fallen flags that carried anthracite coal. My dad's side came from Milford and Shohola due east and northeast of Scranton. It will be a real pleasure to see your local coal mining postcards.
