Friends, sorry for the layman's question.
Is it possible to easily determine the first edition of stamps of England by plate? I have a Michel special, where the very first stamps are determined in this way according to the numbers in the corners. But the other marks are divided into board positions, but it is no longer indicated here how to distinguish it. Is it simple or complex?
I also have the Scott 1844-1944 specialized catalog where England is more detailed. I can't find it here either. Thank you very much for any tip. Mark

hi Mark you may find this useful link
The SG Queen Victoria (Vol 1) Specialized Stamp Catalogue is also helpful and older copies can be found for costs that are often exceeded by the mailing cost! Good luck Stan

thank you for the answer I'm afraid it's too complicated for me. I don't even have enough material to start paying more attention to the stamps of Britain.
