A recent find from eBay, a capital letter M within a horizontal grid. The wear indicates this had a lot of use. Online searches show this to be not common. Backstamped 1892.

A recent find from eBay, a capital letter M within a horizontal grid. The wear indicates this had a lot of use. Online searches show this to be not common. Backstamped 1892. JeffSCould not find this Postmark in Skinner or Cole ? Any idea of any other literature that may have it please? MONSEY ; village in Rockland County, New York. A corruption of the Indian tribal name minsi, meaning "wolf."
