I don't collect world wide material but every once in awhile one or two will pop up that grabs my interest and I'll pluck them from the lot and stash it and give away the rest. Does anyone wanna take a stab at these?

First off you have a Belgian precancel like the ones shown below. Little mystery on the second one, the inscribed Uruguay kind of gives it away. See bottom second page below. Third stamp is from Saudi Arabia and the last from the Indian state of Hyderabad. Value for the lot, approx 0

Thanks! You never know and I really don't think of value when I think of stamp collecting other than "whats that one gonna cost me now!" lol It's just a relaxing hobby for me. If I ever sold my pitiful little collection I would probably only get a pittance of what I paid...Hahaha..Hey it's my vice! Well stamps and a good cognac & cigar every once in awhile!

The New Zealand Maori is a handsome stamp.
The Belgian Railway Stamp, turquoise 8 franc, on the bottom row, with CDS, is somewhat rare, in my experience CDS strikes are an occurence of about 3 in 1000 stamps.

I'll throw my 2ยข in about your sheet Jeff. The first two in the top row are Post War Germany Soviet zone (they look familiar, did I send those to you?) and the orange looking fellow to the left of the Maori is a Norwegian official. Oh, and in the fourth row, third from left Is from Austrian Offices in Turkey, either 1867 or 1878, depending on the quality of the printing. Would be worth a few bucks in nicer condition. Nice batch though.

How rare are those CDS's on the Belgian railway stamps, Rod? Can I retire? ?

Rod, Thanks for the tip on the CDS scarcity on these. I just went through my collection and came up with these. It seems that they get much more common in the later years causing me to stop pulling them around 1960.

Wow! A-ra your really going to like the batch I'm sending you. everything you been showing for the last few days I've recognized from seeing them in that lot. I only poked through it so I have no idea of really whats in there? Also Rod James, A-ra if you guys want any of these please tell me which one and pm me your address. I really have no interest in world wide so they are of no value to me. The only ones I want are the likeness of Generalissimo Franco Fransisco because of his ties with Adolf Hitler in WWII both psychotic madmen but fit nicely into my WWI & WWII project. (I'll also accept trades...lol) In all seriousness no obligation so strings attached if you want any you got them if I have them. -Jeff

Quite common on the very early parcels Admin, and very sought after (esp by me) Looks like 2nd Aug 1894 Must be 1904 1 Fr lake and salmon
Lovely stamp, highlighting the "hand of Antigonous" the hand being the symbol of Antwerp.
(In Australia known as the two fingered salute by the uncouth)
