I don't mean to bore you all with this stuff, but I thought I'd show you another interesting piece from yesterdays adventure. This is a lettersheet funeral announcement posted in Montreal on Christmas Eve in 1877. The included description reads, "After the introduction of envelopes, lettersheet use diminished to printed funeral announcements. 1877. Funeral announcement lettersheet. 1/8" black border on front. Laid paper watermarked A. Pirie & Sons. Imprinted: W.F. Daniel, printer. Posted Montreal, one cent printed matter, December 24."

That's a great specimen of a late use lettersheet! I didn't know that lettersheet use had been cut back to exclusively funeral announcements. Great postal history example.

Hey Jeff. That certainly sounds like fun, but only if you bring yours along as well. I guess that's the downside of this virtual stamp club. Too far apart. Don't know if it's the distance or what, but it's almost more cordial than my real life club. Go figure.
