The Blue 4 penny stamp shown inscribed by Steiner as "First Sydney Post Office" shows Australia's first Postmaster boarding the Brig "Experiment" in Sydney Harbour.
He is Isaac Nichols (An ex-convict)

Quite an interesting display of stamps and information. There are 18 definitive stamps to Queen Elizabeth's first portrait issues from 1953 - 1956, which includes different shades. I have all 18 shades, some are quite noticeable and the other shades the viewer would need to see the difference by enlarging the stamp. This image is from my Google Drive display, I am still finalising the information of each stamp. The unusual small stamps shown with the definitives are shown enlarged when viewing it through Google Drive, and hopefully have the collection displayed on the Stamp Forum.

I know what you mean. Here's something funny but true tomiseksj; I am actually partially colour blind and I have to owe it to my fiancée (an artist) to help me identify those shades. In a few days I will supply the link to the Queen Elizabeth II 1953-1965 collection, you will be able to (hopefully) see the difference in those shades.

Australia, October 1915. SG#35bw Printed in Typography by J.B.Cooke. Wmk: Narrow Crown over A, Perf 12. Well, I am not sure if anyone else has picked up on this, but at least on my display, this appears to be the extraordinarily rare, inverted-map-and-inverted-kangaroo version of SG #35bw.... It's not that rare. Catalogue value in 2015 was £28.

But it's not an Invert !!!!! I don't think I ever said it was.....did I ? (I did not re-check). It is merely an Inverted Watermark example as the catalogue number clearly states. But I would like an Invert if someone has one for me !! All I have for now is a bunch more of them Ozzie Kangaroos !! 1915-27 Various printers including Cooke, Harrison and Ash. Wmk: Narrow Crown over A, Perf 12

From Kangaroos to Kookaburras !! This cute little bird was issued in Blue for the 1928 National Stamp Exhibition in Melbourne. They were printed in sheets of 60, 15 blocks of 4 with margins all round and sold like that at the Exhibition. I have this solitary single all-alone little feller. But what a cutie !! SG#106, Printed in Recess by John Ash.

When I was living in Korea from 1988 to 1997, I not only started collecting Korean stamps but I started a few other things along the way. I had actually ignored stamps since middle school and through college but once I moved to Korea and started working, I found I needed something to do with my free time other than work and go out to bars and karaoke with my Korean colleagues. The other major collection I started at that time was Australia and all because I picked up a collection of early Australia really cheap at the local stamp store that I used to inhabit. I don't know where he obtained this particular collection but it really started my Australia collection off well with many of the Kangaroo-Map stamps and the King George V stamps. The really high value denominations were not included and pretty much out of reach for my budget even then but still I feel this collection purchase, which may have been around 1990, started me off well in Australia. My collection is up to 3 volumes. I mounted my stamps on blank quadrille pages the seller had available and simply defined spaces using pencil marks and wrote in catalog information underneath each square. Later, after I came back to the US and had purchased the Steiner cd, I printed these pages for the newer Australia. I still actively collect but, like the rest of the world, I lose interest for after a while and pick up the threads later on. I recently picked up the threads after purchasing an old album with 2 pages filled with early Australia. You will see some empty or near empty pages that are for minor number varieties.
