I hate to admit it but I too was weak...Just wait till what I ordered comes in the mail! I need to make a decent scan of it because the sellers' images suck to put it nicely. It's a Scott #303 on a tri-color advertising cover! (Parry mfg. Indianapolis Ind. U.S.A.)

My stamping plans for 2014 are to sell off, give away or trade all my Postage stamps.
That's the plan.
Why on earth are you doing that? Or is this a case of "the devil is in the details"? I see now, you said postage stamps not "cindies". If you have any classic US material I'm your guy! Well, I was a bit mischievous in my answer to the thread title, but ILS got it spot on, I did not say Cindies !! I have decided to concentrate on the non-postage side of philately and in truth it has been in the back of my mind for a while, having sold many of my better items and collections a while back. But my interest in ALL stamps remains and I will be as interested now as I was then. In short, I'm going nowhere !! 2014 will be all change and I will be busy. It has not started off well with sickness and a threat on my life hanging over me but I will overcome. Sorry I have not been around much since Christmas, but I can see light in this new year and today some nice items arrived in the mail. Whooppeeeeeee !! Sorry Jeff, no USA. It's never been a collecting interest of mine...there was always something in the way !! But if I come across anything while I am sorting and selling, you'll be the first to know. Been reading all your 2014 plans. I hope you all succeed with your endeavours. Now what's this about Cindies firstfrog ? Londonbus1

Hey Bus, I have Always enjoyed cindies and lindas and ellens, too. No seriously I am going to stick mostly to stuff that goes with my Canada bit but after seeing some of those others I remain on the fence. If you need some muscle there have a few ex=marines here on call they got bit bored with private contract work and on short vacation.

Well the only thing I've stuck to is the broke part,I believe I've over spent my budget and mostly on cindy's.No newfies no missing numbers no newer issues and still working on quadrilles,So much for resolutions.

I'm somewhat on target I finished my quadrille pages.I have worked some on Newfie.I have put MOST of my cindy's where they belong.I have worked on war tax and excise.I am broke but happy.I must really try for at least one of my missing numbers, most wanted at this time is #63 as that's the only one to finish the set.Let's see where you all are doing with these plans.

Good idea firstfrog...an update ! Nice to see you are on track with your plans for 2014.......you seemed a bit unsure back in January ! I have been slowly selling/exchanging/donating my postage stamps. Still some way to go but it's moving along. Have lots of empty and nearly new stockbooks now and this is the downside. But all in all, OK up to now. Been spending some of the cash on some nice Cinderella material which I'll start posting up here. No major finds though as yet. Good luck everyone with your ventures. I will send you continous progress reports on Paulie.
The differnce between guts and b^lls.......
Guts is coming home from the bar way past closing hour, reeking of perfume and lipstick, looking the wife in the eyes and repling "nothing" when she asks.....
B^lls is coming home from the bar way past closing hour, reeking of perfume and lipstick, slapping the wife on the ^ss and saying "your next".

I've been progressing slowly but surely with Asian countries. I'm more or less done with the biggies (China, Japan, India+states), but still got a long list of smaller ones to work with...

I am planning on building my Ukraine collection... My decision to add it to my specializations is new, and I have very few stamps
In addition, I am planning on building a website to sell my spare stamps.

My plans are to sell off some country collections to generate some moola to buy Essays, Forerunners, Revenues, Perfins, covers and other goodies for my Ireland collection. And, maybe just maybe, get the one seahorse I'm missing.

I work on pages while my wife watches Jeopardy. So, I get about 30 minutes done a day. Mounting stamps takes longer. Especially with the need to cut mounts. Of course with the 11 and 13 year old needing to go to scouts and other activities, I don't even get my 30 minutes in on some days.

I have been trying to complete my U.S. Air Post collection. I collect only mint and am down to needing just seven stamps to be 100%. Of course I need all the Zeppelins. I may have to go with used Zeppelins because of the cost and the fact I am on a limited income.

This will make my Air Post collection complete. Of course all that I have now are Mint. Sorry I had said I needed seven stamps but as I count them I see it's 8 that I need.

Chuck, A U.S. air post collection that is truly complete will also include 65 air post stamped envelopes and air letter sheets (Scott UC1-UC65) as well as 28 air post postal cards (Scott UXC1-UXC28). Perhaps a goal for 2015!

Steve I've got to get the ones I listed before I start looking for the ones you mentioned. I like your thought though, perhaps 1915 or 1916.

firstfrog I set my goal in January to complete my Air Post with no particular date set just to focus on completing them. Then I want to focus on Special Delivery. I am well on my way to having all of them (Special Delivery) also. I don't collect Envelopes although I do have a few including some Air Post. All I am trying to do is fill my Album pages. I use the American Heirloom and have expanded to five volumes and need to expand two more Volumes. The problem is where to separate them. Right now I have volume one is Scott 1-1000 Vol Two Scott 1001-2000 and Etc. When I do expand Vol seven will just be all BOB. There has been much discussion on how to break them down on some other Forums I belong to with no clear cut solution.

Tinman I faced a similar problem then realized the simple solution for my stuff was to use the "d" file.I put everything in order by release date.It has helped quite a bit I at least have a good idea where to find things. It may not work for you as our collections are different. My Canada alone occupies fifteen binders. My perfins and revenues have their own as do SSJB/xmas/easter seals.I am still working on revenues so may end up with second or bigger binder for them.It was quite a task as anyone who is familiar with Minkus publications will know.My bible for this project was Darnell catalog who lists things by release date.

Who needs a new thread when we can carry on tradition? So what are your stamping plans for 2015? I plan to pursue at least one or two of those missing numbers I have shown are MIA.I'm also going to work on the Eddies, leaf and numeral queens and look for some other missing material namely BOB stuff.Hope you all have a happy New Year and wish you all good health and great stamping.
