I have not used his expertizing service although I did buy several lots back when he ran auctions. No problems and I learned a lot from his auction catalogs. Based on reading his posts for several years on another forum, I would not hesitate to try him.
But since you mentioned the website, StampForum collectors of US might want to check out for Mr. Weiss' article downloads: for example, "Expertising Coils" and "3c 1851-1857 Designs - Easy Identification."

My favorite dealer uses Bill extensively, and is very happy with him.

Bill is considered very credible. He also expertizes for most, if not all, of the other services that handle US.
Since I don't collect US, I haven't used his services, but I've known Bill for a few years now, as he participates on some other stamp discussion boards (including one I ran a very, very long time ago).
He is very knowledgeable, and very conscientious. I believe he also teaches (or co-teaches) at least one class each summer at the APS summer camp. A very good guy!

Geezer, Thanks for the link. Hopefully prices will stay the same. I would send anything U.S. to Bill before anyone else. If it turns out that you have a very expensive stamp ($5,000 up) with a good review from him then you might want to send it to another of the big dogs to give it more clout. He is respected by other expertizing agencies and dealers. Like Dave said if you send it one of the ohters it could very well be him that looks at it. Usually the $5.00 quick review will tell you if it is worth spending more on.

I've used him to expertize two items and was pleased with the service: it was (is) reasonably priced and he turned both items in less than a week.

Bill is a visitor here from time to time. I have used his service once and was pleased. It was for if I recall USA 34,37 I sent a couple of high quality scans and he did his $5 look over if I wanted to send it in and recive a cert the $5 would be deducted He offers a well price service and is well regarded amongst collectors
