I received an email from someone in Corona Ca requesting advice on liquidating his fathers collections that he inherited. I told him that I was not of much help with what he had but would try and get some recommendations for dealers in the greater L.A. area. he tells me the collection/accumulation consists of U.S and world covers, FDC's, sheets and blocks, it sounds like there are also some country collections. If anyone can recommend a trusted dealer or if you yourself feels qualified to look at it, please let me know so I can pass on the info. Also any auction houses in the area. Antonius-Ra.com

What I collect: Primarily focused on Japan, but lots of other material catches my eye as well ...

Mitchell: I have the feeling I'm the Southern California representative on this board, and Corona is about 20-25 miles from me. I'm not nearly as plugged in as I once was in the dealer scene here, but several names come to mind.
Feel free to send me an email (I think it's available through my profile -- that's my intention anyway) and we can discuss.
I won't be online much today, but should be freer tomorrow to follow up.

Ah networking! I like when things get solved like this. I hope it all works out.

Glad you came here before they just went out blind. The stamp market nowadays is way down, and if they just jump into this, they really could come out of it with bad feelings. They could either be told the harsh truth that their stuff doesn't have any value, and be jaded to dealers after that, or they could have some good stuff, and get taken to the cleaners.
In this market, they really should talk to members of stamp clubs, boards, and such, as well as having a "front man" like you, before diving head long into dealers.
Good luck!

Was just passing through and much to my surprise noticed this old thread I'd started. As far as an update goes, sorry, I don't even remember it. I've just been keeping busy buying and selling and picking up the remaining key stamps (within my budget) I need mainly for Europe and South America. For the most part European countries have reached the 99% point of completion causing me to get more into specializing. Anyone interested can always view at Antonius-Ra.com Theron, Thanks but I guess I'm just burnt out with chat boards. There also seemed to be to few people here interested in the same areas I am. Besides most of what I can contribute is on my website
