This recently acquired, bronze on lilac Blood's Despatch (Scott 15L14) local on a folded letter, with 3 cent Washington (Scott 11), is tied by a Philadelphia CDS and acid. The Blood's Despatch handstamp is dated November 9, 1855(6?).

Very very cool cover! The abbreviation Philad’a and the 1/2 hour time stamp are so interesting. Huh! Thanks for sharing!

The "6" in this Blood's handstamp leads me to conclude that Peter is correct -- my cover was postmarked in 1855.

I just came across this in a box lot I purchased. I would love to know if it is real. It is 20L15a in Scott. No value listed for a single - only a value on cover.
