Greetings to All, and thank you to Dave (Mac1775) for the invitation. I have been a member of the SCF for quite some time, but have noticed that most of the folks there do not seem to have the same collecting interests as me (at least I don't see a lot of current discussions on the topics) .... and I have a lot of collecting interests Although my primary interest is pre-1965 Worldwide Airmails, I have country collections of Greece, Japan, Greenland, pre-1948 Germany, Liechtenstein, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Gold Coast/Ghana, Ryukyu, and have recently begun New Zealand. I also collect topically and have put together collections of 1949 75th Anniversary of the UPU, 1965 Centenary of ITU, 1959/1963 Centenary of the Red Cross, 1963 Malaria Eradication, 1959 World Refugee Year, 1945 Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial Issues, 1963 Freedom From Hunger, 1940 50th Anniversary of the Pan-American Union, 1966 20th Anniversary UNESCO, 1935 KGV Silver Jubilee, 1937 KGVI Coronation, 1946 Peace and Victory Omnibus, and the 1953 QEII Coronation. I have also begun thinking about adding Maps and Stamp Centenaries to my topical themes. I enjoy discussing forgeries and have accumulated a lot of good information about separating the good from the bad, or even ugly I am very much into designing my own album pages. I use Adobe PageMaker and PhotoShop quite extensively. All of my collections are mounted primarily on my own computer generated pages. That allows me to collect what interests me instead of simply filling holes in someone else's "collection". I also am interested in stamp collecting database software. Microsoft Excel spreadsheets are great, but I mostly lean toward the open source Microsoft Access applications. Anyhow, look forward to joining you all in the group. Cheers, Terry

Greetings Terry! I also look forward to seeing our material. I too have an side interest in maps on stamps, also know as Carto-Philately. Where in the Great Northwest are you? My wife grew up near Sedro-Wooley, WA.

Terry, I'm glad you've joined us. Your interests are broad and focused while mine tend to be broad and ill focused, with my collecting ranging from a classic world-wide collection in Scott Blues to a fairly exhaustive run of US 1710 FDCs which I bought as a set. I try to buy large groups of stamps and winnow out what I want to keep, which is sometimes very few. (But, as they say, even a blind pig sometimes finds an acorn.)In any case, your interests will match well with most of our forum members.

Thank you one & all for your warm welcomes.
ncbucki.. I am located in the lower burbs of the great Emerald City, Seattle. My collection of Cartographic stamps includes a grand total of 6 varieties so far. Just beginning to get my feet wet there.
stoltzpup... I do have a couple volumes of the Scott Blues as well. I mean, where else is one to put all of those duplicates!

barhata (Terry) Welcome, you will enjoy it here- many of us are or have been members of SCF as well. I too am from the Pacific Northwest (Oregon), the land of Douglas Fir and rainy winters (well, until recently) - the better to work on stamp collections. My interests are classical era (1840-1940) WW, Forgeries, and my blog. Terry- It looks like you have a lot to offer!

I actually like "filling holes" Welcome Terry, would love to see some scans of your stamps on your computer generated pages sometime. I collect mostly pre-1940 worldwide and recently begun using Steiner pages. I also enjoy learning about forgeries. Chris

Welcome, Terry! So glad you decided to come take a look at the place!
I remember seeing some of Terry's pages on non-Scott listed airmails a while back, and after the discussion this weekend about airmail etiquettes, I tracked him down and asked him to consider posting some of his material here. I had no idea that his interests were so broad! Looking forward to seeing whatever he posts!
Thanks, Terry!
