What are these listed as? Postal meters maybe? I have quite a few of these large behemoths but unsure what to do with them yet? Anyone collect these?  |

Jeff, that's a Horizon label. I found a website/blog about collecting them: Labels on the Gold HorizonI've started picking up Machins here and there, but I don't believe I have any of these labels. |

That one is from a town in Wales, they are printed from the post offices in the UK, they are mainly used on large envelopes, packets and parcels, the A is for airmail though I guess you knew that, NP18 (Newport) depicts the area postcode it was issued, there is a collecting area for these but I have no interest in this area. |

These won't be listed...at least not by Gibbons. They are labels dispensed by the Postal Teller/clerk. Printed by De La Rue in Tete-Beche pairs for ease of cancelling. Zuzu....I'll send a few to you on piece. Don't try to soak them off, they will die before your eyes !!  Exist with straight edge and perforated die-cuts. For those willing to mess around with chemicals to remove self-adhesive stamps from paper, these Horizon labels can be removed from their backing paper. The security cuts make it a little bit difficult, so you have to be careful. But on a good note, the thermal printing on the label isn't affected and the print remains dark.  Ryan |

I have quite a few of these but most are still on piece. I was just curious if they was of interest to anyone as I was straightening up and didn't know what to do with them or how to file them.

Yeah, OK but please allow my gimpy butt to find the rest of them. I think I have like 5 or 6 and one is even on a parcel top from Davey Jones (yes that one). I'll have to double check and make sure I still have all this foreign (to me) as I don't want to promise anything to anyone until I make certain you know? You have all been so very kind to me I just wish I could somehow make a grand gesture of my appreciation some how? When I tell you that I am truly blessed to have friends like you all - I MEAN IT! My family has even distanced themselves from me (I guess too much tragedy this year really has them spooked I'm guessing?) PLUS I live about 100 miles from any friends or family (who besides facebook hasn't helped or contributed in any sort of way) So, I look upon you all as close family. Yes he was a dear friend of our family and key to my success in the music industry. I have a lot of stuff with his name on them but mostly to him though. I really miss him. I'm the guy who could have really got Davey Jones to go to your prom. lol To elaborate a little Johnny J. Blair "Singer at large" is my cousin but we're very close and he actually was Davey's right hand man and guitarist/Bassist in his band right up till the end. You should google him. When I was a young pup, my parents upgraded their old tube radio / record player console thing, and I got to keep that in my room. I was also given a pile of unwanted records, which included the first Monkees album. Somehow, that has led to me owning the complete series of the TV show on DVD ... ha ha Ryan |

A couple of years ago I saw the whole collection in a box at the local thrift charity store. But they were VHS and the cover boxes were well banged up and held with tape, not well kept.
