Nauru issued this set of nine stamps depicting various Nauruan subjects on February 6, 1954 (Scott 39-47): Very nice set of stamps

In 1924, Nauru issued a set of definitive stamps showing a steamer, the S.S. Century. This design was used until it was replaced in 1954 by the QEII set. There are two variations of this set.
The stamp on the left is from the 1924 set. It has a flat appearance and is printed on a rougher paper. The stamp on the right is from the 1937 set. It has a smooth, glossy appearance and is printed on whiter paper.
