I got a chuckle from the DYI billboard, hit me as a bit ironic, the fact that (classic) Estonia was probably some of the most forged stamps, ever...... Most from within country

I was given an album a while back with some Estonia. Mostly modern which has not been scanned yet. Here are a few that have been. (scanned)
(See previous post for images) Michael, are you seeing what I'm seeing?? Look at these two stamps: the top one has an inverted center (or frame, depending on how you look at it). Wow!!! Edit: Just checked the 2008 Scott Classic Specialized Catalogue: Estonia #35: "...exists with inverted center. Not a postal item." So does that make it a Cinderella?

Edit: Just checked the 2008 Scott Classic Specialized Catalogue: Estonia #35: "...exists with inverted center. Not a postal item." So does that make it a Cinderella? THE goto catalog of Estonia lists the inverted 5 as;
The famous variety of the 5 Mk.stamp with the inverted background seems to be printed with genuine parts. Probably by feeding a sheet provided with a background impression into a press with an inverted inscription plate already in position. Some of these stamps have gum and some have not. As far as it is known, this variety never was sold over the counter and thus will be accounted for as a proof.
The postmark on the invert is unusual?
Having said that - many forgeries of this series exist made by Jan Lubi and Simson-Kull

So far, I haven't seen here, any stamp of the Second Estonian Republic. This is the first definive series issued on October 1st 1991. The 7 four sides perfored stamps were printed on the printing works of the ex-DDR in Leipzing, while the other two were done in Kista, Sweden. Circulated FDC with the text: "Revival of Estonian Post Office". Facial value is still on Soviet rubles. It was just a month, since independence...(August 20th 1991)

cursus mentioned that there were no recent (Post Soviet period) items posted so I thought I would add these just to keep his nice cover company ! I didn't scan them individually because they were part of Giveaway I believe from a while ago. Most of the estonia have gone but this remains so while I still have it........I can show it !!

Well done, Michael!
I had a pen-pal in Tallinn for many years. So I have the full 1991-2001 years on FDC circulated to me (plus a number or later). I have a good collection of the Postal History of 1991/92 provisionals. But it's too boring to be posted here, although not often seen. I even toured the country in 2011. There are some nice cities and islands.
It was, like "a philatelic tour" I visited most of the castles featured on the definitive series. I posted myself letters of every city where I stopped.
Those are from the PO on the Tallinn castle (Toompea) the castle is featured on the 2 stamp
Viljandi (Central Estonia) I walked on the suspended bridge shown on the stamp

Estonia since 1991-a very interesting period for mail! There are really rare postal envelopes, etc.

Do you mean the Haapsalu provissionals? Because the Tartu tape stamps are not rare, just (some) pricey. The 1990/92 years, are interesting for Estonian Postal History.

This, is an uprating of a Soviet stationery cover (from the May 15th 1990 issue), most likely performed at Tallinn's GPO, by using Soviet Post meters, from July 91 to December 91, to meet the Estonian July-Dec 1991 domestic tariff of 20 kopecks (0.20 rubles).
Cover circulated on November 1991 from Estonia to Russia.
Up to Dec. 14th 1991 the letters to the countries of the still-alive USSR, from which Estonia had set free on August of that year, were considered "domestic mail". Hence the tariff used on this cover.

A page of my Estonia 1990-92 Postal History collection with the first commemorative issue of the Second Estonian Republic, circulated on the day of issue to USA and Finland.
On the second cover it can also be seen the airmail label, offered by British PO.
