No, not the National Rodeo Association, or even that other one that Sarah Palin and Charlton Heston belong(ed) to. FDR's National Recovery Administration. Here's a nice NRA meter cancel from 1934. A link to the US National Archives tells us all about it. (The NRA, not the cover.) www.archives.gov/education/lessons/fdr-fireside/

A little research and a couple of questions posted on another forum has produced this page for my cover. I've turned it into a one page exhibit. The meter is a Pitney Bowes DC4A (International Postage Meter Stamp Catalogue) / DF2 (United States Postage Meter Stamp Catalogue). The NRA information came from a United States Archive webpage, edited down by me for space. Admittedly I should have cited the Archive site on the page, but I was short of space, and no one's going to be looking at this but me, really, so... I've also included a NRA cinderella, that I've posted previously in the Cinderella section here, and a spare US SC#732 National Recovery Act Issue that I had kicking around. Hope you like it. Here are some web pages I used. en.wikibooks.org/wiki/International_Postage_Meter_Stamp_Catalog/United_States_of_America,_Part_1 www.archives.gov/education/lessons/fdr-fireside/

Lovely page James ! I searched my database for NRA, and along with all stamps with Conrad, Konrad, it picked up these bits and pieces. They called it a failure !? It gave the 40hr week, and ended child labour.

Wow to both James & sir Rod for the great covers and information! James those displays you make are absolutely gorgeous! I wish that I had half the talent you have! Rod this is the first that I have ever seen those patriotic NRA singles. I'll have to keep a lookout for this type of thing.
