Welcome aboard SHIN! While I can't evaluate your collection I hope you stick around awhile! Don't be to dissapointed if they arent woth too much as 99.999% of stamps are only worth what someone will pay for them. Again, Welcome aboard.

Agree with I.L.S. - the stamps are worth only what somebody is willing to pay. If I saw these on eBay or DelCampe, I'd consider 5-6$ as a fair price request, because:
* The Iraq set with Saddam would be 5-10$ alone if pristine mint, but these are in pretty ratty condition (notice the marker junkie on first stamp, perf faults and foxing on second). * Same goes for the Peru stamps. These are foxed/rusty and as such their only place is on the junk bin. * The Jordan bird set looks ok, and it should fetch 3-6$ when sold. * Mongolia set is nice looking, but there's not much collectors for these. So maybe 1-2$ worth on a good day. * Lebanese set is nice, but common. Maybe 1$ wort on a good day. * The Iraquese Babylon festival stamps should bring you 1-2$. * Bulgaria is on the same track as Mongolia. Nice stamps, but not much interest for these * The rest are simply partial sets or minimum value items not worth selling alone.

Well the title fit so I'll post it here.I'm in the process of total inventory but really taking short cuts doing it.I count mint and used copies add EST $ of varieties to roughly 1/4 of the value of the former and list that as fair market value. Is this in your opinion a good reflection of actual pricing? Of course I'm only speaking of classic material I realize modern is wallpaper. If my method is reflective I'm over the $50,000 mark five pages into this mess. After seeing results of sales from that BB collection with the filled pages I think I'm pretty much on the mark but open to thoughts from you all.I'm trying to at least leave some idea for poor Jack when he's stuck dealing with this.

Frog-Tough one to pinpoint There is a *%$#@load of money out there right now for quality (or perceived quality) product. PSE (have my own thoughts on them) is certifying 100's of common stamps and those getting the "98+ rating are being offered for ludicrous prices - like this 25c Sc1173 stamp for $75 with shipping. The markets aren't North American - they're Asian & Eastern Europe. So your $50,000 might be $500,000 in the right venue.

Thanks falschung,I'm really glad I don't sell stuff but man $75 for a 4 cent stamp sounds insane to me.My guess is someone is going to be very happy when Jack tells them what's here.In the meantime I'll be happy just adding to it all and enjoying my time on the planet. My wife has some idea as when I find the goldmines I always point them out to her. Just last month I added many, many stamps that would fetch $100 plus if sold today. This is really the meat of my collection on a whole, the $100-$500 items. My inventory is most unsatisfying in it's present form I really must re-think the format and get a bit more detailed.Grouping all the used stamps under a list without condition or other description seems poor representation of some.Try and try again.
